TisnoTisno is a Croatian municipality in the Sibenik-Knin district. Situated partially on the island of Murter, partially on land, which are divided by a narrow strait only 38 meters wide, Tisno is the youngest Croatian archipelago. It is connected to the land by a moveable bridge, which is lifted twice a day in the summer months. The city center which is on the island side, is divided from the land by a bridge built in the 18th century, which was later, in 1968., replaced with a mechanical one. Local sights are mostly oriented around the churches. The oldest is the Church of the Holy Spirit built in 1548. Unlike other tiny local Dalmatian municipalities, Tisno surprisingly has broad squares, an abundance of greenery, and a long waterfront, perfect for a refreshing summer walk.
